Zelda: Breath of the Wild Needs to Sold 2M Copies to Recoup Development Cost

Nintendo revealed that they need to shift 2M copies of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to compensate for the huge development costs for the game.

Breath of the Wild has been in development for more than five years and it has 100 staff members which are currently working on the game, and more than 300 have contributed over the course of the project’s life.

That’s not the end of it however, as Nintendo planning and development boss Shinya Takahashi had revealed that development work on Zelda will also be applied to the future in some smaller projects. He did not get into any specific details, but he stressed out that the dev are making as much effort as possible to reduce the development cost as a whole, by reusing resources like the game engine that was used on previous Zelda titles.

Breath of the Wild boasts a spectacular physics engine, for example, and asset streaming to allow its enormous open-world to continuously load in around you.

It's a firm bet Nintendo will use such technology again, although likely within smaller projects with shorter development cycles.

Breath of the Wild is due to launch early next year for both Wii U and Nintendo's new NX console, which is slated for release in March 2017.

The game is being developed simultaneously for the aging Wii U and will presumably be an NX launch title to drive hardware sales.

A 2m sale is no small number, especially for a Wii U title, but I think Nintendo will make this quota or event surpass it, judging by how much positive feedback the game has gained during the E3 event.

Still No Fallout 4 Mods for PS4 Owners

Well, I guess many have expected this would happen. Until now, the promised mod support on Fallout 4 for PS4 owners are still not yet available. What’s more worse than waiting is, the fact that Bethesda did not clarify on how long we should wait.

If you are a PS4 owner who is dying to have the mod support on your FO4 game, then I know that you’ll be pissed to hear this news that Bethesda had just announced earlier today that there would be a delay on the PS4 Mods Beta.  Another thing that will surely add to your frustration is the fact that they have not given any ETA on when we can expect to see the mods become available on the console.

Bethesda did not mention any reason on why the mods beta for PS4 has been delayed but, I think the probable cause for this delay is pretty obvious. We all know that the Playstation 4 version of the mod support has got some problems in terms of capping. While Microsoft allows 4 GB size limit for mods, Sony has chosen to limit the mods for PS4 to just 900 MB. Aside from this size limit, we all know that the PS4 version of FO4 has some issues at the moment that requires some time to fix. And, I think that these are enough reason to delay the beta test for mods on the console.
Well, might as well enjoy the un-modded version of the game while you can.

Monster Hunter Will Not Be an Annual Series in the Future, New Monster Hunter Generations Demo Now Live

The Executive producer of the Monster Hunter series, Ryozo Tsujimoto, revealed in an interview that they hope to reduce the wait of Western gamers for the release of their game series. Although there has been two US version of Monster Hunter games in the past two years, Tsujimoto says that they're "not dogmatic about whether this is an annual franchise."

He stated that the reason why it has come out annually in the US is because of the timing it takes for the games to be localized. In addition, they have managed to refine the localization process to make it reach the Western continent quicker. So, he hopes that in the future, Monster Hunter games will be released simultaneously in Japan and US. Check out his official statement below:

"Even in Japan, we're not dogmatic about whether this is an annual franchise. We don't have to release one every year. With the number of games that have come out in Japan, it may have wound up being annual, more or less, but it isn't because we decided to make that a deadline.

"Talking about the west, as you say, this is the first time we've had two years in a row with a new Monster Hunter game, which is great for our fans. We've seen a lot of feedback from players about the amount of time it takes us to bring a new game over from Japan. Localization has to be done. We've tried to refine that process and make it more efficient, so that we've been able to make that gap shorter and shorter. This is the shortest wait we've had so far. It's still a matter of months, but in the past some titles have taken up to a year. We're getting closer and closer to the Japanese release time frame.

"In the future, I'd love to be able to reduce that wait even further and get Monster Hunter out simultaneously in the U. S. and Japan. We'll keep doing our best to bring our games to western players as fast as possible. We appreciate everyone's patience." — Ryozo Tsujimoto

What James Cameron Thinks About "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Movie

Star Wars: The Force Awaken has smashed box-office records around the world and most movie-goers claimed it to be a franchise-saver of some sort.  However, not all was pleased by the film. Though many believe that the film was great, the Avatar/Alien director James Cameron seems to dislike J.J Abram’s Star Wars: The Force Awaken. Well, he did not say it directly, I’m pretty sure you can read between the lines.

James Cameron has said that J.J Abrams reboot lacked the “innovative visual imagination” of the original film directed by his old friend George Lucas. Although the fill introduced new set of characters, he noted that this film was more of a retrenchment to things that audience have seen before.

“I don’t want to say too much about the film cos I also have a lot of respect for JJ Abrams, and I want to see where they’re taking it next, to see what they’re doing with it,” he said.

“I have to say that I felt that George’s group of six films had more innovative visual imagination, and this film was more of a retrenchment to things you had seen before and characters you had seen before, and it took a few baby steps forward with new characters. So for me the jury’s out, I wanna see where they go with it.”

Here's a New Game Built From The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

The Skyrim series are sure an apple to the eye for the modding community. Various mods have been added to the games’ series to enhance the gaming experience or just simply make the game livelier. Mods for these games vary from adding new clothing to characters to creating new landmasses inside Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. But the most ambitious and notable mod ever-made (as of today), is the one that requires converting the whole game into another game, which is based on the old game. I hope you understand my language but to make it simpler, it’s like creating a new RPG based from that old RPG you experience. Now that’s way better than a remaster with re-skin and mod support right? 

After years of development, the SureAI team has finally announced a release date for Enderal — a total conversion of Skyrim with its own world, its own story, its own characters and its own mechanics. It was built using the Skyrim modding tools, so the final product is going to have a similar feel to the latest Elder Scrolls game, but the similarities mostly begin and end there.

What I’m talking here is about a mod named “Enderal”. Developed by SureAI team, this mod is meant to convert the world of Skyrim to a new one- A new world, new characters, new stories and new game mechanics. It was built using the Skyrim modding tools, so that the final product will fell like the Elder Scrolls game but it totally looks like a new game.

“In Enderal, we have attempted to combine open world gaming with a complex and profound storyline,” says the SureAI team, explaining how the game distinguishes itself from Skyrim. “While the game world of Enderal is smaller than Skyrim’s and the quests are fewer, we believe that the depth of our story and the complexity of our characters both surpass those in recent Elder Scrolls games.”

SureAI says it has spent 29,908 hours on the development of this total conversion mod, but this weekend, all that hard work finally paid off as Enderal’s release window was revealed: between July 1-3.

World of Warcraft: Legion System Requirements Revealed

Blizzard has officially revealed the system requirements for the upcoming Legion expansion for World of Warcraft and, it seems that I need to upgrade my PC to play it. Well, just a little bit.

Here are the minimum requirements for World of Warcraft Legion (This is the Windows version of the game. The Mac system requirements can be seen below):
  • Operating System: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10 with latest service pack
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 or AMD Phenom II X3 720
  • Video: NVIDIA® GeForce GT 440 or AMD Radeon HD 5670 or Intel HD Graphics 5000 NVIDIA
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Storage: 45 GB available hard drive space
  • Internet: Broadband internet connection
  • Media: DVD-ROM drive
  • Input: Keyboard and mouse required. Other input devices are not supported.

In case you wonder why Blizzard buffed up the system requirements in the game, it's because the Legion expansion will give an overhaul to WoW when it comes to how it looks. The massive improvement notable with the expansion is the massive draw distance upgrade that's been applied. You can see roughly twice as far in-game, which generally means there are obstructions before there is horizon. That's an awful lot to render - but it's only an additional option on top of many others. There has also been a wave of new animations, and of course Blizzard's tech in other areas is improving over time too.

So with all that improvement, I guess it's definitely worth upgrading your gaming box for my favourite MMO game of all time.

How to Fix Common Issues in The Division Underground 1.3 Update

The Division 1.3 update has gone live for a couple of hours now but, it seems that there are many agents out there have some problems with the update. Some players are having a hard time accessing the new DLC while others ran into some connectivity issues.

Thankfully, Ubi has provided some workaround on these common problems and you can check out below some fixes on the problems that you might be experiencing at the moment (Well actually, not all are fixed. Some of them say that Ubi is fixing it at the moment):
  • For Xbox One Pass users, make sure to unlock the DLC in the In-game store. Click purchase and the game will detect that you own the season pass
  • For Pc users, if you can't access the Underground content, please restart your Uplay client
  • If Underground is shown as “Offline” in-game, make sure to complete the Secure Quarantine Center side mission shown on your Map
  • The issue wherein the Underground DLC is not showing as Owned despite owning the Season Pass is being fixed at the moment.
  • In PC, the issue wherein Underground would not be shown as Owned when owning the Season Pass should now be fixed. Make sure to restart the game.
  • If you are experiencing a Delta error 20001082 & extending waiting issues, Ubi said that it's currently on investigation and they are working on a fix for it.

Also, there have been reports that there's an issue about character going missing right after updating to 1.3. Ubi did respond to this issue quick however by asking players to give their usernames so that they can investigate the problem. This isn't the first time The Division has dealt with a bug that caused characters to go missing. Back in April, Ubisoft said a separate "missing character" issue was caused by a malfunctioning server.

Underground and the 1.3 patch are available only on Xbox One and PC. The expansion lands on PlayStation 4 on August 2, while the patch should be out next week on Sony's system.

So I've found something really handy in youtube. Something about how to dodge low attacks in Pokken Tournament more effectively. The technique is really simple and you can go use it on any character in the game. So continue reading below to see how to evade low attacks effectively.
So the technique mainly revolves in canceling out of pre-jump frames. By pressing jump and then pressing any other button within 4 frames of pressing jump, you are able to cancel your jump

Into ANY action of your choice, besides walk, dash, low stance, and high stance. The whole purpose of this is to dodge lows (like garchomp's X+A move, or blaziken's down X) and punish with moves you normally could not punish with. You can also do this in the field phase, though its use is much more limited there. It only beats Garchomp's CA in the field phase at the moment.

This does not work to beat throws however, as they have too many active frames. If you jump cancel into an attack against a throw, you get a throw break. It could work if your opponent went for an extremely meaty grab. It could also work to make throw breaks slightly easier, but you may as well just use a jump attack to punish at that point.

Garchomp cannot cancel out of his pre-jump frames if he is jumping out of his dig or run, so he is still limited with his options out of both.

This allows you to punish the following moves with whatever you so please:
  • Garchomp's: Down Y, X+A
  • Blaziken's: Down Y, Down X
  • Sceptile's: Down Y (I doubt you can punish down X, or any other slide just due to how many active frames they seem to have)
  • Gengar's: Down Y (have to do the tech twice in a row)
  • Weavile's: Down Y
Everything else still needs to be tested. Really hope it works for Garchomp's Earthquake (jump A) cause that would be super hype. You can check out the video below by the way to give a little preview on how to do this move.

What Happens When The Scourge Faces the White Walkers

I can say that the Night King is really the real deal. He is the king of the undead! He is the most fearsome King that can lead a terrifying horde of undead army. With Night King leading hundreds and thousands of undead in varying shapes and forms, I can say that he and his White Walkers are the most intimidating undead army that have ever been created in all fantasy stories. Wait? What’s this guy below doing on my page? Oh sh** It’s The Lich King! I’m so f**ckin’ dead!
The Lich King begs to differ on the claim to the most intimidating undead army ever created. That is his throne and no one can ever claim to be ruler of the Undead except him. In fact, if you will make the White Walkers and the Scourge to fight against each other clearly, the Scourge will dominate in the fight. Well, the fight would somehow be endless as both of them can raise fallen comrades but in the end, the Scourge will make the White Walkers cry like lil’ babies. Oh right! They’re dead so there’s no point in crying. LOL!

So why would the Scourge win? Let’s take a look at both undeads first.

The White Walkers
They are powerful forces who walks the earth for thousands of years and able to command a massive army of undead. They are born from powerful and dangerous magic to protect the Children of the Forest from the First Men. However, they have broken free from the Children’s control and just waiting for their chance to strike against all living. 

In Game of Thrones, they eventually struck out from the Far North against the people of Westeros – killing everyone who stands in their path and making them a part of their undead army. It took the combined might of everyone in Westeros to push them back and construct the Wall from the show to keep them at bay, which has kept them locked away for now.

White Walkers are extremely dangerous in hand to hand combat, with magical powers and weapons related to frost magic. They can freeze anything they touch, they also have superhuman strength and they wield weapons made from ice that could shatter normal weapons in contact. But the most powerful ability they have is the reanimation skill which can raise the dead as their servants. They are called Wights and the only way to stop these undead is to destroy them by fire or break them apart.

There’s no question that the White Walkers and their army of undead are one of the most dangerous threats to Westeros in the world of Game of Thrones. Truly, these creatures are a force to be reckon with but, can they match the power of The Lich King and the Scourge?

The Scourge
The Scourge is a massive undead empire led by the Lich King. They are solely created by the Lich King to bring death to Azeroth and weaken the world so that in time The Burning legion invades it, there would be less resistance and the world will be much easier to conquer. For the Lich King to create such massive army, he unleashed a curse known as the Plage of the Undeath across the entire continent of Northrend which killed every living thing in the realm, allowing him to raise them under his undead army.

The Lich King himself is really a powerful entity. He wields the powerful runeblade Frostmourne, which consumes the souls of its victims in order to further augment the power of the sword. Just like the White Walkers’ weapons, the Frostmourne also has the ability to shatter almost every weapon it comes into contact with, with only one legendary weapon known as the Ashbringer being able to withstand blows from it continuously. Even without the power of his runeblade, the Lich King has a wide variety of frost, blood, unholy and shadowfrost spells at his command which he can cast freely. Not to mention his ability to raise the dead and command them telepathically, augmenting them with his own powers as he sees fit.

These augmentations have led to the creation of a vast army of undead supplemented by loyal organizations that specialize in specific crafts. Take the Death Knights for example, who are melee warriors clad in plate armor raised from the dead and augmented with the Lich King’s own abilities. Utilizing their runeblades these knights can call upon the power of unholy magic to raise the dead, frost magic to cut through their enemies, and blood magic to heal them while bolstering their own strength. Specialized units like these make up a large portion of his undead army.

So who would win?

Clearly it’s a no contest. The Lich King and the Scourge will definitely end up making the Night King and his White Walkers, a part of their undead army. When the White Walkers will face the Scourge, definitely they’ll be squash to endless death. I mean, with all The Lich King’s specialized units, how can the White Walkers fair even? 

However, I would say that Night King vs Lich King will definitely be a good match but in the end, The Lich King will be victorious. If we take a look at their arsenals, the Night King only has superhuman strength, the ability to revive the dead and frost magic. While The Lich King has all the powers of the Night King plus, blood, unholy and shadowfrost magic which he can cast freely. Clearly, it’s a no contest too. But I wonder whose sword would break first? I mean both the weapon of the Night King and the Froustmourne have the ability to shatter weapons in contact. Well that would be interesting but, I’ll still be placing my bet on the Lich King.

Your Fat Man or Gauss Rifle has no match for this wicked lightweight metallic trash can of doom!

Redditor Quinchilion has discovered the destructive capability of a trash can in Fallout 4.

As you may know physical objects in Fallout 4 block splash damage from explosives like grenades and most of them, including the common trash can in the game are completely invulnerable to damage.

"I was first trying to throw the grenade at the ground near the mines and then cover it all up with the bin, but the grenade wasn't very cooperative and kept going all over the place. Then I realised it would be much easier to do it like this instead," Quinchilion wrote.

He also added that the trick can be used in combat. You can throw a grenade in the bin and rotate it away from you and towards an enemy. You can check out the video below for a short demonstration.

How to Survive the Legion Invasion in World of Warcraft [Guide]

So aside from the addition of Demon Hunter, what else would you see in World of Warcraft: Legion you asked? A Legion invasion of course! In August 30th, The Burning Legion will once more try to conquer all of Azeroth. They will unleash hell on the world from both green fel-fire portals and gigantic spaceships in the sky. The question now is, are you prepared for this massive invasion? Do you have all it takes to survive?

Don’t worry as we got you covered! Assuming that you are now well-equipped for the invasion, all you need to know now is how to survive the Legion Invasion or to be concise, to kick all of those demon’s big asses! Now, this guide will show you every details to know on how to finish the Legion Invasion and of course, get every possibly bit of shiny loot those demons will drop.

If you don't like reading however, there's a short video at the end of this post which briefly explains how to finish the Legion Invasion. However, we advice that you read the whole article as there's a lot of important things on it like tips on how to get around the invasion zones quickly and some other nitty-gritty details about the invasion.

Now let’s get started!

The Target Zones of The Burning Legion

The Burning Legion will invade a total of six zones across Kalimdor and The Eastern Kingdoms. Namely, these zones are: Azshara, Dun Morogh, Hillsbrad Foothills, Northern Barrens, Tanaris and Westfall. 

Tip: The invasion will not happen at the same time so it’s best that you take a look at your map on where the current invasion is being held.

Now for faster travel from point A to point B, here are some of the fastest routes to take for both the Alliance and the Horde:

Azshara (Orgrimmar Rear Gate)
For the Alliance, go grab the portal to Mount Hyjal from Stormwind and fly next to Azshara or, you can fly from Damascus if they haven’t unlocked the portal yet. While for the Horde players, you can go head north from Orgrimmar directly.

Dun Morogh (Kharanos)
For the Alliance, you can go to this invasion by heading outside from Ironforge. While the Horde players will need to take the portal to the Twighlight Highlands from Orgrimma and then fly south-west.

Hillsbrad Foothills (Tarren Mill)
The Horde can just travel there from just outside the Undercity while the Alliance must head to Tarren Mill from Ironforge or the portal to Twilight Highlands inside Stormwind.

Northern Barrens (The Crossroads).
Horde players can just exit Orgrimmar and head south while the Alliance will need to ride on a boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet.

Tanaris (Gadgetzan)
Both Alliance and Horde can travel to Gadgetzan from the portal to the Caverns of Time within Dalaran. Also, they can use the portal to Uldum which is located in both Stormwind and Orgrimmar. And of course, there’s flying. 
Tip: If you area Gnomish Engineer, then you could just use “Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan” to go there directly.

Westfall (Sentinel Hill)
The Alliance needs to head south of Stormwind while the Horde can take the portal to the Blasted Lands from Orgrimmar or they can travel through the ship from Ratchet to Booty Bay.

The Phases of the Invasions

Each invasion has multiple stages and you need to finish the first stage to proceed to the next one. You will be tasked to fill a progress bar to advance to the next stage. So here’s how the invasion goes:

Phase 1
The first phase is quite easy. All you need to do is kill as much demons to fill the progress bar. These demons are relatively weak so you won’t have any problems dismembering these creatures.

Phase 2
After you mopped up the cannon fodder, you will face two Legion lieutenants. Once you take them down, the demonic commander will spawn from a fel portal to avenge his fallen comrades. 

Tips on dealing with these demons: These demons are formidable so don’t face them lightly. Instead, you should treat them as raid bosses. Move to your raid position: Wherein tanks are in front while DPS and healers at the back, dealing damage, healing the tanks (as well as the DPS) and dodging every nasty attacks that the demonic commander will cast.

Phase 3
In this phase, it’s time you show some offense! Check your map and you’ll see some various demonic symbols lighting up. These symbols indicates the target you need to kill for the progress bar to be full and progress the next phase. In this phase you’ll encounter weak demons and mini-bosses which will protect various Legion structures like fel portal.

Your objective here is to eliminate all the demons that are protecting the Fel Crystals and destroy it. In this way, you’ll be rewarded with big boost in your progression bar.

Tip: Best that you have a minimum of five man team that is well-coordinated. In short, play with your friends.

Phase 4
This is the final phase of the invasion. You’ll be tasked to take out Demonic Overlords that are extremely powerful. And we say extremely powerful, this means that you’ll die instantly with a simple backhand from the Overlords if you are not a tank. In addition, they have a set of unique abilities that can also cause instant death. The best advice we can give you is threat them as raid bosses also. Only this time, you should be more cautious! Other good tips we can add are to attack these Overlords in the sides and, interrupt their abilities if you can, to prevent any death as much as possible.
Bonus tip: If you do die however, only resurrect when the boss isn’t in the middle of casting something big.

The Rewards

Achievements Unlocked
For players who defeated the Legion Invasion for the first time, you will be rewarded with the “Stand Against the Legion” achievement. In addition, you will have the “Defender of Azeroth: Legion Invasions” achievement unlocked after stopping the Legion in all six of the eligible zones. Both of these are exclusive to the pre-patch event, and will be unobtainable after it ends at the launch of Legion on August 30th.

The Shiny Loots
Each phase on the invasion will give you different loot rewards. Also, each phase has an incremental amount of Nethershards (you will have 260 of these if you completed all six invasions), which is an event exclusive currency used to purchase items from the “Captive Wyrmtongue” vendor present in each zone the invasions takes place in.

From the vendor, you can trade your Nethershards for a Felbat Pup minipet, the Coalesced Fel to upgrade your weapons, and a selection of item level 700 trinkets, jewelry and a cloak. You can also pick up four unique armour transmogs. These aren’t tangible pieces of gear, but instead unlock the respective appearances in your new Wardrobe collection. You just need to purchase these once to unlock them permanently on your account, with every Ensemble requiring at least eight completed invasions to purchase.

And lastly, completing phase two of the invasion will reward you with a “Small Legion Chest” which contains 35 Nethershards, as well as a chance for a random piece of “Fel-Touched Gear”: item level 685 armour appropriate for your class and spec. While the fourth stage will give you a “Large Legion Chest” which contains 90 Nethershards, another chance at some Fel Touched Gear, but also a chance for an item level 700 weapon. These weapons can be upgraded with another possible reward, a piece of “Coalesced Fel”, which can be used on a weapon to boost its item level up to a maximum of 725. This will do you nicely until you get your grubby mitts on your godly artifact weapon in Legion.

How to Increase Your Adsense Earnings by 60% or More [Updated]

Ever wondered what are the pages on your website/blog that gives you the most AdSense earnings? Well, Google Analytics might give an idea on pages that has the most visits but, it does not exactly tell you that those pages gives you AdSense revenue. It leaves you guessing if those pages really earns your some dollars. So, do you want to know what are those specific pages that gives you revenue? Then read below and I’ll tell you how.

But first, let me give you some of the benefits of using this method. Why exactly you would want to know what pages in your site that performs well in terms of AdSense revenue, you asked? I have list down some benefits in doing this method below:
  1. You will gain an idea on what topics you should focus on writing in the future and;
  2. You will have an idea on what keywords you should focus on.
That’s not all. You can also use this method for A/B testing your ad units. By doing so, you can learn:
  1. Which ad sizes performs best in your pages and;
  2. You can pinpoint (in some way) on where are the AdSense heatmap on your website/blog.
How about constraints and disadvantage in using this method? This method has no constraints at all. It’s very simple that even newbie bloggers can do this. Also, there’s no disadvantage in using this method. It’s all 100% benefits for you. 

Sorry for the long intro guys but I really want to make sure that before you read on, you know what exactly you’ll be reading on this guide and of course, to really show you of how important this method in increasing your Adsense revenue.

So now, let’s begin.

Step 1: The first step you need to do is sign in to your Google AdSense account and then create an ad unit. Now like I have said earlier, this method don't just work on tracking the pages that gives you the most Adsense revenue. It's also a good method for A/B testing your ad units to simply know which ad performs well. You'll know more about A/B testing while using this method, once you go deeper on this article.

Step 2: Next thing you need to do, is install your Adsense ads in your website. Simply paste the codes wherever you like them to be, or wherever you think they would  likely be click. For me, I have two adsense codes: One is on top (728x90), just below the title and the other one (336x280) is on the middle wrap around the text. So far, I can say that these locations are the most optimal places where viewers can see my ads and might as well click it if they like.

Step 3: After you are done setting up your ads in your website, it is now time to track which ad unit gives you more revenue and, which specific pages gives you these revenue. Now I know many of you are using Google Analytics at the moment but we will not use that here. Although analytics is great, but we don’t get to see some figures and reports on which pages converts to AdSense earnings. We will be using another online tracker tool called Statcounter. If you don’t have an account yet, then just go to statcounter.com and register one. It will just take a few minutes to do so. 

Once you have an account, install the statcounter code on your website (I prefer using the invisible tracker) After that, you need to give it at least 24 hours so statcounter can get all the info you want about your website statistics. So, I think you should just go back tomorrow before you proceed to step 4 but if you insist to read the whole article now, then go ahead.

Step 4: Now your back and it’s time to see the stats of your site on the previous day. Log in to your statcounter account and then select your project. After that select “Exit Link activity”. There’s some visual aids below to help you out.

Why the "Exit Link Activity"?

There's a number of ways that your users will exit a page on your website. One is that they exit through clicking a link and landing in another page of site. Second is they exit your site, by clicking a link on your site which leads to another web page. Third is they close their browser after reading your article. And last one is that they have clicked one of your ads. And the "Exit Link Activity" tells you exactly when your user clicked an ad, what type of Google AdSense ad (in terms of size) on your site did they clicked and on what page on your site did he/she clicked the ad. Now you have an idea on how to use these data right?

But for those who have no idea on how to use these data, read the rest of the article below.

So how do you use these data? First let’s discuss about the data on “what pages on your site your user click an ad". The first thing you need to do is record all the pages that have AdSense earnings (see sample image below). For better result, try doing this every single day. Now this method will definitely be tedious and definitely requires hard work but, if you want to be successful in Google AdSense, then you really need to give lots of time and effort for it.

The idea is, to record all those pages that gives you AdSense earnings per day. Then after a week or a month, try to look at the data and see what exactly, are the pages that gives you revenue. By doing so, you will then have an idea on what are the topics that you should focus on creating and posting next on your site/blog.

Now to give you a specific example, I’ll use this blog as a tool for demonstration. Well, I really can’t post any images on my AdSense earnings as it’s not allowed but, I will give you some figures. Okay, for the month of May I earned 185 USD (184.76 to be specific) and I have tried this method out: I have recorded all the pages that earned from Adsense and then on the end of the month, I evaluated the date. Based from the data, my findings where that most of the pages which tackles about game guides were the ones that are giving me more revenue. So, I’ve decided to post lots of more game tips and guides articles for the first week of June. However, there’s no increase in earnings per day. So, what I’ve did is review the data and, it hit me! It turns out that I don’t need to produce just a game guide article. Instead, I need to be more specific!

I have notice that the articles that give the most AdSense clicks are those guides for games which are played on consoles such as Xbox One and Playstation 4. Also I realized that the ad unit, mostly being clicked, is the 336x280 ad unit in the middle of the post. How did I know? 

Take a look back step 2. As you can see I’ve placed a 728x90 ad below the title post and a 336x280 ad on the middle of each post. And, it turns out that the middle post ad performs better than the below the title ad. So that’s how A/B testing your ad unit works in this method! As you can see, the “Exit Link Activity” (see previous image above) of statcounter shows you not only the page, but also the exact ad size of the ad unit that was clicked on it. All you need to do is record the data per day, evaluate the date at the end of the month and proceed to doing some changes based on your findings.

How did I benefit from doing all of this? 

So my findings were that:
  1. A 336x280 ad place in the middle post is a good choice
  2. I should post more articles about PS4 and Xbox One games.
Based on those findings, what I did is post a couple of unique guides from a ps4 title named The Division and a Xbox title named Fallout 4 and, just let my two ad unit stay on their respective places (The 728x90 ad unit is also converting to revenue so I’ve decided to stick with it). On the second week of June, my earnings per day jump from 7.57 USD per day to 10.21 per day! Now to prove to myself that the method actually works, I continue doing it and on the third week of this month it jump again to 11.70 per day and it stayed in that figures for the next week. Right now, I am currently at 12 USD per day and if this continues, then most likely I will have a finalize earnings of 323 USD. That’s almost 60% of revenue boost!


I can say that this method really works. It's a great addition to those tools you to increase your traffic and revenue. And the best part of it, you don't need to buy anything! You just need to invest time and effort and your hard work will definitely pay off someday.

Note: Although it's not tested for months or years but I plan to update this page every month to really prove to you guys that this method really works.
